Health Clinic for Local Residents

Health Clinic for Local Residents

The Boro region in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, is home to a community characterized by, among other things, a significant proportion of elderly residents, a population of farmers, and low-income households living in the hills and mountains, with homes spaced far apart and no public transportation. Given these conditions, the community has a critical need for easy access to basic health services.

Under certain circumstances, community need immediate medical assistance before they can receive further treatment at adequate healthcare facilities, such as hospitals. Currently, such healthcare facilities are not available.

Therefore, it is highly hoped that the construction of the Community Health Unit can be realized. The selection of the location for the Community Health Unit in Boro took several factors into consideration, including: its relative accessibility to local residents; the presence of several orphanages, schools, and pilgrimage sites in the area; and the availability of sufficient land to build the health unit. Driven by a spirit of social and humanitarian concern, it is hoped that assistance for the construction of the Community Health Unit will provide a means of basic health care and first aid for the surrounding community before they are referred for further treatment at adequate health facilities, such as hospitals.

On Thursday 3 September, 2026, CCB Indonesia symbolically presented a donation to support the construction of a health clinic for local residents, which will be built on the grounds of the Brayat Pinuji Foundation complex in Boro, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta.
